ConvertVault ("we", "our", "us") is an online file conversion service available at convertvault.org. We are operated by an individual developer.

2. What data we collect

  • Account data: Email address and name when you sign up via Clerk.
  • Payment data: Billing information processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • Files: Files you upload for conversion. They are sent directly to CloudConvert for processing and are automatically deleted within 24 hours. We never store your files on our servers.
  • Usage data: Conversion history (file name, type, size, timestamp) linked to your account.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited for security and analytics.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide and improve the conversion service
  • To manage your subscription and process payments
  • To enforce usage limits on free accounts
  • To send important account notifications (no marketing without consent)

Your account data is kept while your account is active. Conversion history is kept for 90 days. Uploaded files are deleted from CloudConvert servers within 24 hours of conversion.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Email us at privacy@convertvault.org and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — for authentication sessions. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
